Top 5 Tips for Successful Article Writing
You may have heard by now that writing articles and submitting them to different locations is a great way to increase the traffic to your web sites and in the end increase your income. But if the articles you write aren't getting people's attention and they are not clicking on your links in the resource box, then you need to do something about it! Here are the top 5 tips that will help you write the most successful articles.
Tip #1: The most important thing you need to do when writing articles is to capture your reader's attention. How else are they going to read to the bottom of your article to click on your link? How can you get people's attention? It has been proven that people related better to stories or people they know. Adding a quote from a well known person near the beginning of your article to make people associate your knowledge with the well known person's knowledge. Or alternatively you could retell a story that you once heard, it can be something that happened to you or a fable that you can make connections to your topic with.
Tip #2: Of course what is a great article without a catchy title?! The reason I still put that you need an article that will capture and keep people's attention is that this will decide how many people enjoy your article. You want to keep a high level of quality for all your articles, since that will bring in the most people to visit your web sites. But of course you will need a title to get people to take a look at your article. You will want to come up with a title that describes what your article topic is, but with something of a mystery to get people to click. People respond well to lists and "top 10's" but they also like questions or implications of success.
Tip #3: Pick a very hot topic. If you're writing about nursing or babies, try to write an article about the latest fad in diapers or something that is related to the current world. Write articles that are seasonal or festive. Webmasters and ezine owners are always looking for an article that relates well to the current time of the year. When it's Christmas time, relate your topic to Christmas and do the same for other holidays and seasons. If you're not sure what else you could use, read the news, some weblogs or talk to your friends to find out the most current events.
Tip #4: Check your grammar and spelling. This might seem obvious, but articles that have bad grammar or spelling are not going to help you much. These articles might even be rejected by certain article submission sites! So take the extra few seconds it takes to press the "Spellcheck button". You'll see it makes a big difference.
Tip #5: Write from the heart or from personal experience. This is one tip that helps you write articles more easily which is then reflected in your articles. If you're interested in the topic you're writing about, you're bound to write better articles. Maybe you found out that a certain keyword is very saught after, but you're just not feeling motivated to write about it. Take a break and write about something that really thrills you, and think of the other topic at the same time. If you keep practicing this technique, soon you'll think positive things about more topics and will be able to write about a wide range of topics without losing out on the personal touch you can add to each of your articles.

A Pregnant Stray Cat Adopted You – And Now What? It happens all too often. A family or cat friend gets adopted by a stray cat. And after a few weeks it turns out she’s pregnant.
In the US alone there must be millions of sweet but homeless cats. And many of them get pregnant several times a year. Nobody really knows why, but pregnant strays often adopt a family instead of the other way round. Maybe they search for support or a good and warm home for their kittens.
Now, perhaps you don’t have the space or time for a cat family. Or there’s another reason that makes it difficult to have these kittens. But you don’t want to throw this stray out. She’s expecting babies, isn’t she?!
Now what can you do?
You could take her to an animal shelter. That’s not always a good idea.
Don’t get me wrong: I value the work of animal shelters. In fact, I got my current cat from one of them, and I’m pretty sure the next will come from a shelter too. But some animal shelters reportedly put a pregnant stray to sleep. You’ll blame yourself forever if you hear the cat you brought in, was killed.
Other shelters will spay her. They’ve got a good reason for that. The kitten population is astronomical and the last an animal shelter wants is put five more homeless cats in this world.
But maybe you have objections against spaying a pregnant cat – after all, it’s abortion at the same time. Then a far better idea is bringing a pregnant stray to a local rescue group. In the US alone dozens of rescue groups are active. Not all of them, but many let the queen have her kittens, and search a home for them.
But in the end, perhaps the most satisfying alternative is to keep the cat yourself and let her give birth. Take good care of her. Have her examined by a vet to see if she’s in good health. And get the right information so you are prepared for complications.
And remember: strays are used to go wherever they want. So keep your doors closed. Otherwise she’ll adopt someone else.

Celebrity Gossip – Good Or Bad?
People know more about Paris Hilton, than they do President Bush. Celebrities are always in the news for a variety of different reasons. They might be getting drunk, and making a fool out of themselves (Mel Gibson), or getting a divorce (Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro), or almost dropping their baby in the street (Britney Spears). Whatever they are doing, we are all tuned to watch, and listen to the celebrity gossip.
Most of the time the only celebrity gossip that appears on television concerns something bad that has happened, or some mistake a celebrity has made. The public likes to watch figures in the spotlight fall on their face, because it brings them back down to earth with the rest of us. Also it seems that we like to give air time to celebrities so they can complain about the way the government is being run. We can setup a large forum to let celebrities speak about how the war in Iraq is wrong, but we can not take five minutes to tell the soldiers that are fighting there how much we appreciate them for what they are doing. I would like to help change the view about celebrities and write about some celebrity gossip of a different flavor.
Towards the beginning of the war in Iraq, Densel Washington made a trip to a hospital in Fort Sam Houston, Texas to see some of the injured soldiers. While he was there he saw that the hospital was crowded and the doctors there needed more supplies. Densel told the soldiers at the hospital that help would be on the way. About six months later, he gave a sizable donation to the Fisher House Foundation Inc., which helps families of hospitalized military personnel. I never heard any gossip about this on the celebrity news channels. The only time I heard about this great act of generosity was in an email from someone else that was trying to spread the good word. I think we would all feel a little bit better about celebrities if the celebrity gossip shows would try to report on more uplifting stories like this one.
Decide for yourself! Check out the celebrity gossip forum.
Downloading Online Movies
There are many online websites for downloading movies, though the legality issue was still a major question mark until recently, especially since sites downloading music like Napster were shut down. The big news for many computer junkies recently was that the companies of Movielink and CinemaNow are recognized as being the first major online sources for legal downloadable movies in the United States. Previously the studios were shy about licensing online stores for anything but video rental, but now that has changed.
Movielink has managed this breakthrough by pushing forward with the backing of Universal, Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount, Sony Pictures, and Warner Brothers. Cinema Now is in a similar situation, which is part of the reason why these companies are experimenting to see how the downloads process works. Movie downloads for new releases become available on the same day as the DVD release, and there is an ever growing backlist of previously made films all ready. The one thing to keep in mind that makes these downloads different than others: you can not burn anything onto DVD, the download will only stay on your computer and can not be copied.
Pricing, according to studios, is currently "competitive" with the DVD release, which in many peoples minds makes it a bad buy, being way too expensive for what you get. Classic movies are generally be priced at $13.99, with some movies priced as low as $9.99. New movies are all over the map. King Kong, for instance, will sell for $19.99, compared to $14.96 + shipping from retailers like Amazon. The Bad News Bears (2005), on the other hand, sells for $26.00 online at Movielink, which is essentially the same price Amazon is carrying at the moment. Most of these offerings, however, will not offer the extras found on today's DVD and you instantly sacrifice the ability to take your movies with you on the go.
Encrypted or not, the standard DVD is at least portable. All in all, this makes movie downloads from these sites, even with the reassurance of everything being acceptable and legal as really weak.. Until a better pricing appears, it would seem that these companies are doomed to failure. At least they would be, if the movie companies did not own them. Wait for a better deal.

Online degrees - specially suited to adults looking to improve their employment prospects
No longer is a university degree only available by physically attending university lectures, seminars and tutorials. Now you can work for your degree 100% online, never setting foot into the hallowed halls of learning unless you choose to.
There are universities that offer Bachelors and Masters degrees online. You can even get a Doctorate 100% online. You have a very wide choice of subject, as wide as if you physically attended the institution.
The online degree has the advantage that you can work at it in between your parenting or other commitments. You can keep up the day job, while studying for your degree in the evenings or at weekends. This option is a really attractive one for adults looking to increase their long-term employment options.
You can get an Online degree from many traditional universities, including Harvard and Yale. There are other universities and colleges that only have online courses. Some of these universities are accredited universities, others are not.
If you apply to a non-accredited institution future employers are unlikely to look favorably on your qualification. This is because some of these non-accredited "universities" are nothing more than printing shops, churning out degrees as the cheques roll in. Everyone has seen the ads for these so-called degrees - "The Get your doctorate next week" type ads.
There have been cases of prominent scientists losing their posts because their degree was exposed to come from one of these non-accredited institutions that produce totally worthless degrees and doctorates.
There are "Life-Experience" degrees where you gain credit for what you have learned in your job over the years, including for experience gained by staying at home and looking after the kids. Treat these especially with extreme caution and don't shell out your money too easily. If it's that easy to get a degree then it really is not worth the paper it is printed on.
